Blood Pressure Lowered by Quercetin

Quercetin is used in many combinations with other supplements. There are a number of people that feel quercetin is commonly used with other supplements and I have to take issue with that thought.  There are two conditions we have to define. First, there are companies that have formulated supplements with quercetin and one or more other supplements in a formula for a specific supplement product. This type of multi-ingredient supplement is designed to directly target a specific health condition. Second, people will mix quercetin with the general line of nutritional supplements they are using. Quercetin Reduces Hypertensive Blood Pressure

It was the objective of this study to investigate the effects of an oral supplementation of quercetin in three different doses of plasma concentrations of quercetin, parameters of oxidant / antioxidant status, inflammation, and metabolism. Ingestion of quercetin can be associated with a reduced risk of coronary heart disease and other degenerative diseases. Because quercetin can be obtained from edible plants, such as: apples, berries, and onions, it was estimated the average western diet would provide between 0 to 30 mg and an average ingested dose was 10 mg. The primary dietary sources of quercetin in Western populations are red wine, tea, fruits and vegetables. In other countries, quercetin is available as a supplement of daily doses ranging from 200 to 1200 mg. Resveratrol Disrupts Metabolic Syndrome

Metabolic syndrome is part of the bad news when the doctor tells us we have diabetes.  Then we discover the metabolic syndrome dangerously increases our risk of heart disease, which is the biggest cause of death among the senior population. Scientists have conducted a number of epidemiologic studies to substantiate the fact that resveratrol lowers or reduces the threat of metabolic syndrome and it is also the reason given by some that increased red wine consumption provides the resveratrol protection.
